An experience of internal peace. The Aqua-Mouvance massage is given in warm water, it was created from Aqua-Mouvance exercises which are used to gain body consciousness. The aim is to improve ones capacity to relax tensions and change bad habits formed through restrictive movements. The massage is given in a small heated pool (36°c/96°f) of 1.2 metres (4 feet) deep. The client lies at the surface of the water with the help of floaters placed at the head and legs. The therapist practices slow movements and exercises, a ballet of waves, rocking, cradling vibrations to encourage relaxation. The main advantage of the Aqua-Mouvance massage is the depth of inner relaxation accomplished – due to the surrounding effect of the water – it also is a unique experience that is lived through three dimensional movements. The feeling of well-being that follows is felt not only in the body and breathing but as a deep, long lasting rare experience of peace.
