The "Maison Canadienne"
This charming pavilion boasts a warm, serene common room with a view of Mont Orford as well as eight comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms.
The Pavilion's History
The story of the Spa Eastman began with the little French stone house, affectionately known as La Maison Canadienne. Upon the opening of the first pavilion in 1977, who would have dreamed what was to happen next.
During its early days as a vacation home, La Maison Canadienne was more like a bed and breakfast. One room was dedicated to treatments, permitting guests to enjoy massages and a few body treatments. The atmosphere was welcoming and quite convivial. Guests easily fell under the charms of La Maison Canadienne. The lounge, the fireplace, the cosy armchairs have always inspired relaxation and reverie. Upon the first days of spring, the neighbouring pond becomes a gathering place for the most talented of the local amphibious creatures giving way to the most fabulous bullfrog concerto ever offered to the contemplative vacationers. In summer, ducks dance with geese displaying a canvas worthy of any artist's brush.
Through the years, a multitude of clients have remained attached to the warmth of La Maison Canadienne. They know that they can always count on the special touch that makes them feel truly at home. Even today, though the Spa Eastman offers them a choice of 43 rooms throughout 8 pavilions, many guests still insist on staying in La Maison Canadienne.
