The "Volets Bleus"

The Pavilion's History
The house called Les Volets Bleus, named for the quaint blue shutters that decorate its windows, was acquired with the purchase of a new parcel of land in 1979. In 1985, Les Volets Bleus has seven rooms available for guests. Until then, treatments offered at the Spa Eastman were limited to massage therapy and fangotherapy. Believing in her dream more than ever before, Jocelyna Dubuc decided to add a new array of treatments to the Spa Eastman program. Thus, the need to transform Les Volets Bleus to create more space to dispense the ever growing variety of treatments was evident.
Although the Spa Eastman has always believed that inner beauty transcends outer beauty, aesthetics provide an excuse to take care of another part of ourselves. Once we have learned how to take care of our body, we then become aware of the importance of taking care of one’s mind and soul. By benefiting from a treatment because we are aware of some tension, for example, we then become conscious of our stress in order to better address the tension source. The body treatments were lavished there until the opening of the new pavilion in the fall of 1999.
By 2001, Les Volets Bleus became, once again, devoted to lodging. Presently, it has four bedrooms and a lounge handsomely decked with a fireplace. Occasionally Les Volets Bleus is reserved by small groups wishing to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries.
