 In 1977 Spa Eastman was already a forerunner in the promotion of organic products and responsible health. Since Spa Eastman’s foundation, it has been refining a product in which the quality of its environment, its treatments and its services has given it international acclaim. Pioneer in the concept of spa vacations, Spa Eastman is recognized as the first Destination Spa in Canada. Additionally, its efforts are continually honoured as it has received two Spa Finder Readers’ Choice Awards, it is among the 100 Best Spas of the World and it is the only spa in the French-speaking world to have been accredited by the prestigious Destination Spa Group.

According to a study conducted by Cornell University, a stay in a Destination Spa – a vacation place offering a complete renewal experience, including healthful, natural nutrition and educational activities focused on health and well-being in which its mission is to encourage the pursuit of and maintenance of a better quality of life – improves energy, concentration and creativity more effectively than any other type of vacation.

Spa Eastman was awarded the Phénix de l’environnement 2008 and, even though it won this prize because of its exceptional environmental record, it was its contribution to the “development of sustainable health” that was highlighted during the award ceremony at the National Assembly of Québec.
