Ayurvedic Tonique green smoothie

As part of the upcoming signature retreat on Femininity and Ayurveda, Krystine St-Laurent has taken a recipe from our book La Cuisine tonique – the Tonique green smoothie – and added a few ingredients to adapt it to the onset of the cold season, in support of feminine hormonal balance.

Recipe

Ouput: 1 portion

Ingredients
  • ½ avocado
  • 250 ml (1 cup) vegetable drink of your choice
  • 250 ml (1 cup) fresh spinach
  • 1 tbsp. lime juice
  • 2 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tsp monk fruit sugar (optional)

To this original recipe from the book, Krystine suggests adding:

  • A pinch of cayenne pepper: excellent for stimulating digestion;
  • A piece of organic ginger, peeled and coarsely chopped: stimulates immunity and digestion;
  • A small handful of sesame seeds: key ingredient for hormonal balance.
Preparation
  • In a blender, blend all ingredients until smooth;
  • Avoid drinking too cold, preferring lukewarm temperatures.
