What is acupuncture ?
Acupuncture is one of the treatment practices used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a form of therapeutic health care dating back some 5,000 years.
The theory behind it is that when the flow of energy is imbalanced or blocked, health problems can emerge.
What are the results of acupuncture?
Due to the fact that each client has his or her own individual needs, the way that acupuncture is applied can differ. The physical after-effects are however, the same – deep relaxation, a reduction (or even disappearance!) of pain and/or discomfort, a feeling of calm, inner peace and serenity, emotional stability, a balance between the body and mind, more energy and a general sense of well-being.

All those who wish to activate their body’s self-healing powers
- Better management of stress, anxiety, and distress;
- Decreasing sleep issues, digestive problems, and muscular or tendon pain;
- Reducing inflammation, seasonal allergies, and migraines;
- Supporting weight loss;
- Strengthening immunity;
- Regaining energy and vitality, and reconnecting with their true nature.

What to expect
- Initial Assessment: You fill out a confidential questionnaire about your overall health and the reason for your visit. This may include questions about your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and habits. This assessment helps to understand your specific needs.
- Discussion on Treatment Choice: The practitioner determines the acupuncture points to be treated based on your reason for the visit (sleep issues, weight loss, pain, stress, fatigue, etc.), and an energy assessment of all organs is also conducted.
- Insertion of Needles: The practitioner gently inserts very fine needles into the selected acupuncture points (about 20 needles). You may feel a slight prick or tingling sensation when the needles are inserted, but any discomfort is temporary.
- Waiting and Relaxation: The needles typically stay in place for about 25 to 30 minutes. Some people find this period relaxing and may even fall asleep.
- Removal of Needles: After the allotted time, the practitioner will gently remove the needles.
